Kovacevich, the 2009 Cleland-Lazorik Award winner, earned four varsity letters in track and field as a throws specialist for the Pioneers. She is a five-time All-OAC performer earning all-conference recognition for the indoor weight throw in 2008 and 2009, the outdoor shot put in 2006 and the outdoor hammer throw in 2008 and 2009. Kovacevich was selected as Marietta’s Female Field MVP in each of her four years in the Navy Blue and White.
Kovacevich won the OAC hammer throw championship in both 2008 and 2009. She was an NCAA Provisional Qualifier for the hammer throw her senior year. At the time of her graduation, Kovacevich held the Marietta College records for the weight throw, indoor shot put, outdoor shot put and hammer throw.
Just as successful in the classroom, Kovacevich was the 2009 OAC Clyde Lamb Award winner. She was a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree and was named to U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team as a senior.
Kovacevich graduated Cum Laude from Marietta College in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations and Marketing. She completed a Master of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University in 2017. She is currently a Cash Control Specialist with Progressive and serves as a Lector at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Strongsville, Ohio.
