Andrew Bolton rowed for four years under former coach John Bancheri. During his career he earned three varsity letters and captured Dad Vail gold in 1999 in Marietta’s Freshman Heavyweight 8+ shell and bronze in 2002 in the Varsity Heavyweight 8+ division.
Following his time in the Pioneer Navy, Bolton enjoyed a successful stint with the United States National Team culminating in a World Championship and a spot on the 2008 Olympic team.
Bolton began his National Team career in 2003 as part of the USA’s World Championship silver medal Lightweight 8+ crew. He also earned a silver medal at the 2007 Pan American Games in the Lightweight 4+ shell. A year later Bolton was in the No. 2 seat when the United States claimed the Lightweight 8+ World Championship crossing the finish line 1.4 seconds ahead of Germany. He would go on to serve as an alternate in the Beijing Olympics for USA’s Lightweight 4+ crew.
Bolton, who graduated with a degree in Management and a minor in Asian Studies, is currently the Vice President for Business Development and Strategy for Crowdtap, one of the top-5 fastest growing marketing companies in the Inc. 500. Bolton lives in New York City with his wife, Annie.
