Known for his never give up attitude, Vultee was a member of the Pioneers’ back-to-back Dad Vail gold medal winning crews in 1966 and 1967. From his position in the No. 5 seat, he helped the Navy Blue and White to undefeated seasons in both gold medal years. The 1967 team also went on to row in the Gillette Cup in Ratzeburg, Germany and the Henley on Thames Royal Regatta in England.

Vultee, a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business in 1968. With his induction, he will join seven of his teammates — Dave Brown ’65, Bill Burnham ‘67, James Byer ’66, Charlie Edwards ’67, Tom Feaster ’69, Terry Morris ‘69 and Dave Nystrom ‘67 — in the Hall of Fame

Vultee and his wife Anny have one son, John. He is the President of Vultee Construction Corp. and a member of the Housatonic Boat Club in Stratford, Connecticut where he served on the Board of Governors from 1990-1996.
