Hall of Fame
Dallas Lee Garber, who graduated in 1961, was a four-years letterman in football (1957-60), playing tackle and fullback. He still holds a number of rushing and scoring records for the Pioneers, including most touchdowns in a game (6), season (15) and career (34). His career rushing average of 5.4 yards per carry is still tops. Perhaps his finest game was a 373-yard rushing day against Washington and Jefferson College in 1959, a record that stood nationally for a number of years. Garber, who was drafted by the Baltimore Colts, received a Ph. D. from the University of Toledo, where he currently is employed as the director of the Student Union.
