Talarico, a 1983 graduate, earned three varsity letters in baseball at MC. He served as team captain in 1983. Mark was a three-time member of the All-Ohio Athletic Conference and NCAA All-Mideast Region first teams. He earned second team All-American honors in 1981 and first team recognition in 1982 and 1983. During Talarico’s four years at MC, the Pioneers won two conference, four regional, and two national championships.

After graduating from
Marietta, Talarico played baseball professionally in Italy. He played eight seasons in the Italian First Division and was named player of the year in 1983 European Championships, the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, and the 1984 World Baseball Championships.

Talarico and his wife Claudia reside in
Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, with their daughter Sofia.
