Eddy, the 1994 Jack Rafeld OAC Player of the Year, was a four-year letterman on the Marietta College baseball team. While wearing the pinstripes, he was twice named first team All-American and earned All-OAC and All-Mideast Region honors three times.
The shortstop and captain was awarded the prestigious Way-Weigelt Award as a senior before signing a professional contract with the Ohio Valley Redcoats of the independent Frontier League, where he played one year. Eddy then served as an assistant coach with the Etta Express in 1995.
Also in 1995, Eddy was hired as a deputy sheriff with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a position he still holds. Eddy, the 2000 Deputy of the Year, has worked as the DARE Officer for the past two years and teaches in 12 elementary schools throughout Washington County.
The Woodsfield, Ohio, native also coached the Marietta American Legion team for three years, as well as one year with the Marietta Bantam League and two seasons with the Cambridge T-Ball League.
He and his wife, Melissa, live in Cambridge with their three children, Sarah (10), Andrew (8) and Emily (6).
