McComb was a four-year varsity letter winner at first base for the softball team playing for Coach Jeanne Arbuckle. She was a two-time All-Region player earning third team recognition in 2008 and second team honors in 2009. In addition, McComb was named second team All-OAC in 2008 and first team in 2009.

McComb holds the program record for games played with 159 in her career. She was a fixture in the Pioneer lineup during the best four-year run in program history as Marietta went 111-49, were runner-up in the 2006 and 2007 OAC Tournaments and made the NCAA Tournament in 2007 winning a program record 34 games.

McComb holds numerous school records including single season games played (46), hits (57), sacrifices (19) and consecutive games hitting safely (16). Her .456 batting average in 2009 is the second-best in program history. She also holds the career records for hits (182) and put outs (995).

McComb earned a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Marietta College in 2009. She is currently working as a Contracts Administrator for Praxis Engineering Technologies, LLC. McComb and her husband Jason Baumler, Marietta College Class of 2009, have two children: Millie and Avery.
