Hall of Fame
Kenneth Rickvalsky, a four-year lettermen goalkeeper, played soccer for the Pioneers from 1980-83. He joins fellow teammates Doug Lessing ’84 and James Malone ’86 in the Hall of Fame. The most decorated player in program history, Rickvalsky was a four-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection earning honorable mention as a freshman followed by first team recognition in his final three seasons. He was named All-Ohio three times and All-Mideast Region twice. When he graduated, Rickvalsky held every goalkeeper record at Marietta including saves in a game (25), career saves (408) and career shutouts (18). He was the clear choice for goalkeeper on Marietta College’s 25th Anniversary Men’s Soccer Team selected in 1984. Rickvalsky came to Marietta as an All-State high school goalkeeper.
Rickvalsky, who graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering, works as a national product engineer with McWane Ductile Iron Pipe Group, which is based out of Birmingham, Ala. He currently resides in Waretown, N.J. and has one son, Kyle. Rickvalsky is an accomplished videographer and has worked with his son to shoot and create videos for the Southern Regional High School football program that have earned praise from Steve Sabol with NFL Films.
