Mark Wayne "Buzzy" Davis, class of 1955, was a four-year varsity basketball player (1951-55). He played on OAC championship teams his junior and senior years and was all-conference three times. All-Ohio twice and selected to the Little All-American team. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics and was Don Drumm's choice as one of MC's all-time great basketball players. He still holds number of Pioneer basketball records, including career scoring (1,688) and most points in a single season (640). His career scoring average was 20.3 for 83 games. He resides in Florida.
