Men's Basketball senior post player Sahmi Willoughby (Groveport, Ohio/Reynoldsburg) was named the Most Valuable Player of the Marietta Shrine Tournament as the Pioneers posted wins over Washington & Jefferson and No. 1 ranked Christopher Newport. Willoughby scored 14 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and had a pair of steals in the win over Washington & Jefferson. He finished with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks against Christopher Newport.
