Senior J.J. Martin (Huntington, W.Va./Huntington) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference player of the week after leading the Pioneers to a pair of key OAC victories. Martin scored a team-high 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Marietta’s 98-67 win over Muskingum. Martin added 18 points and nine more boards in the double overtime thriller over Heidelberg. For the season, Martin leads the Pioneers in scoring (16.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 rpg). Martin has scored 20-plus points six times this season and has reached double figures in 18 of Marietta’s 21 games.
