CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. — Thomas More College posted a 7-2 win over Marietta College Saturday (Sept. 5) afternoon in women's tennis. The Saints improve to 1-0 overall, while Marietta falls to 0-1 on the young season.

Carey Becker (Cincinnati/Walnut Hills) and Elyssa Ackerman, 8-4, at No. 1. Anna Hetzer and Nicole Capodagli were 8-0 winners over
Alex Seals (Marysville, Ind./New Washington) and Jamie Shoots at No. 2, while Jeni Hall and Lydia Olsen beat
Hannah Stankus (Buckhannon, W.Va./Buckhannon-Upshur) and Brandi Reed at No. 3 by the score of 8-6.
Marietta's two points came at the bottom of the singles lineup. At No. 5,
Latrice Nelson (Austintown/Austintown Fitch) beat Shelby Bales, 6-2 and 6-0. Senior
Alex Seals (Marysville, Ind./New Washington) posted a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 6 over Sarah Fellinger.
DeFiglio defeated Becker at No. 1, 6-0 and 6-4. Hetzer won at No. 2 over Ackerman, 6-0 and 6-0. At No. 3, Sarah Hastings was a 6-3 and 6-3 winner against Reed. Meadows won the No. 4 match over Stankus, 6-0 and 6-0.
