HILTON HEAD, S.C. — The Marietta College women's tennis team continued play at Spring Tennis Fest Tuesday (March 8) with a 9-0 loss to NCAA Division II Saint Joseph's College from Rensselaer, Ind. [Box Score]

The Pioneers (0-2) and Pumas (8-0) began the match with singles action where Saint Joseph's captured all six points, including at first singles where Marietta senior Kristina Reed (Grove City/Grove City) was forced to retire midway through the first set because of illness.

As a result, the Pioneers defaulted the first doubles match. The Pumas went on to sweep the remaining two points to secure the victory.

Marietta will quickly look to bounce back when it takes on Seton Hill University at 5 p.m. this evening.
