MARIETTA, Ohio — Junior Kristina Reed (Grove City, Grove City) won her second straight singles match but visiting Shawnee State University defeated Marietta College 8-1 in non-conference women's tennis action Friday (April 9) at the Beren Tennis Center. [Box Score]

Shawnee State (5-1) took control of the match by claiming all three doubles points. The Bears then won five of the six singles points to secure the victory.

Reed evened her record to 2-2 at fourth singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over her opponent.

Marietta resumes Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action Saturday (April 10) when Ohio Northern University visits the Beren Tennis Center for a match at 9 a.m.
