MARIETTA, Ohio — The Marietta College women's tennis team returned to Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play Saturday (April 10) morning when Ohio Northern University visited the Beren Tennis Center. The Polar Bears captured the 9-0 victory to improve to 5-7 overall and 2-1 in the OAC. The Pioneers fell to 0-5, 0-3 in league play. [Box Score]

Ohio Northern won all three doubles points by a combined score of 24-1. The Polar Bears then swept singles action. Sophomores Caitlin Cornell (South Park, Pa., South Park) and MacKenzie Boyles (Fairmont, W.Va., East) both faired the best on Saturday, falling 6-2, 6-4 at third and fifth singles, respectively.

Marietta is back in action Monday (April 12) afternoon when Otterbein College visits the Beren Tennis Center. The match is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
