BEREA, Ohio -- The Marietta College women's tennis team opened its season with a 9-0 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) loss to host Baldwin-Wallace College Saturday (March 20) afternoon. [Box Score]

The Yellow Jackets (4-7, 1-0 OAC) captured all three doubles points against the Pioneers (0-1, 0-1 OAC) by a combined scored of 24-1.

Baldwin-Wallace went on to sweep the remaining points in singles. Marietta junior Kristina Reed (Grove City, Grove City) had the team's best performance. She fell 7-5, 6-3 at fourth singles.

Marietta is back in action Saturday (March 27) when the Pioneers visit Wilmington College for a match at 1 p.m.
