2009: Nate made 15 appearances out of the bullpen and earned his third varsity letter as a junior in 2009. The right-hander went 2-0 with two saves and had 18 strikeouts to go along with a 4.81 ERA in 24 1/3 innings. Eschbaugh struck out a season-high five and earned the win in a four-inning effort against Blackburn (Ill.).

2008: Eschbaugh earned his second varsity letter as a sophomore in 2008. The right-hander, who started three games, worked primarily in relief. Eschbaugh finished 3-0 with a 6.21 ERA in 37 2/3 innings. His longest outing of the season came in a start against Texas-Tyler when he struck out three in 5 1/3 innings.

2007: Eschbaugh made a huge impact on the varsity level as a freshman in 2007. The former Etta Express bat boy earned All-OAC second team and All-Mideast Region third team honors after going 5-3 with two saves, 30 strikeouts and a team-leading 3.65 ERA in 56 2/3 innings. Eschbaugh threw back-to-back complete games during the stretch run of the OAC season; the right-hander struck out seven in a 1-0 shutout at Ohio Northern and then followed it up with another seven-strikeout performance against Heidelberg. His most important win of the year, however, came in the Mideast Regional when he shut down top-ranked Wooster for seven innings to eliminate it from postseason play. Eschbaugh allowed three runs on six hits and struck out six in the win.

Coach Brewer says: “Nate is coming off arm surgery so his status is uncertain. As the only senior on the staff, he brings with him a lot of experience and leadership. If healthy, Nate will fill a valuable role in our bullpen.”
