2011: Earned first team All-American, All-Mideast Region and All-OAC honors while earning his third varsity letter…Was named the NCAA Pitcher of the Year, NCAA Co-Player of the Year, Mideast Regio Pitcher of the Year and OAC Kent Tekulve Pitcher of the Year…Named to the OAC and Regional All-Tournament teams…Led the team with 14 wins, 1.06 ERA, 15 starts and three complete games…Was second on the team with 93.1 innings pitched and 89 strikeouts…Finished with a 14-1 record…Had a career-best 10 strikeouts against against Ohio Wesleyan.

2010: Earned All-Region and All-OAC second team honors and his second varsity letter as a sophomore pitcher…Made 17 appearances and seven starts…Tied for the team lead with nine wins and posted a team-best 2.94 ERA in 17 appearances…Finished 9-1 with a save and 49 strikeouts in 67 1/3 innings…Struck out a season-best seven in a 7 1/3-inning start against Wooster in the Mideast Regional Tournament…Named to Mideast Region All-Tournament Team.

2009: Emerged as Marietta’s second starter and earned his first varsity letter as a freshman…Made 16 appearances and 11 starts…Finished 5-3 with 52 strikeouts and a 5.27 ERA in 66 2/3 innings…Struck out a season-high nine batters against McMurry and Muskingum.

Coach Brewer says: “Brian had an amazing 2011 campaign which concluded with being named the National Pitcher of the Year.  He has four pitches that he throws in any count (Fastball, Curve, Change and Cutter).  The stage is never too big for Brian; he wants the ball in big situations.  Brian is poised to have a great senior season.”
