WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio — The Marietta College men's golf team finished fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Sunday (Apr. 26) afternoon at River Greens Golf Course. The Pioneers' finish was the best for Marietta since tying for third in 2019.
Mount Union and Otterbein tied atop the leaderboard with identical scores of seven-over-par 871. The Purple Raiders won a two-hole playoff to claim the 2026 OAC Championship. Ohio Northern was third with a score of 876, followed by Marietta (900), Heidelberg (910), Capital (914), Baldwin Wallace (932), and Muskingum (940).
Otterbein's Clay Bruning took home medalist honors with a three-under-par 213. He was joined on the All-Tournament Team by teammate Carter Woodward (215), Ohio Northern's Zach Butcher (218) and Bennett Christy (218), and Marietta's
Aidan Houghton (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) (218).
Joining Houghton in the Pioneer lineup was
Jeremiah Fizer (Chesapeake, Ohio/Fairland) who finished 22nd with a score of 228.
Kelson McCurdy (Beverly, Ohio/Fort Frye) was 23rd one stroke behind Fizer.
Andrew Korner (Mission Viejo, Calif./Capistrano Valley) carded a score of 233 to finish 27th.
Zach Huscusson (Clinton, Ohio/Northwest) was 28th with a three-round score of 234.
