WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Marietta College junior goalie Francesca Agliolo (San Gabriel, Calif./Mayfield Senior) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Monday (Sept. 27) afternoon by the league office.
 
Agliolo started her week with an excellent match versus the College of Wooster. Agliolo faced seven shots on goal, made six saves, and only gave up one goal in a 1-0 loss to the Fighting Scots. The goalie fared much better later in the week with a 0-0 tie against Oberlin as she saved both of her shot opportunities.
 
For the season, Agliolo is currently tops in the OAC with .848 Goals Against average and is third with a .824 saves percentage.
 
The Pioneers will return to the field this Saturday (Oct. 4) when they begin conference play and host Ohio Northern University at Marietta Field. Kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
