DOVER, Ohio — The Marietta College men's golf team opened the 2025 fall tournament season with a fourth-place finish at the Wooster Gatorade Collegiate Sunday (Aug. 31) afternoon. The Pioneers finished nine shots behind Mount Union on the par-72 Zoar Golf Club course.
Mount Union carded a two-round score of 593 to claim the team title. John Carroll and Wooster tied for second seven shots back with scores of 600. Marietta was fourth with a score of 602, followed by Wooster B (603), Saint Vincent (608), Mount Aloysius (609), Ohio Wesleyan (609), Capital (617), Kent State Tuscarawas (640), and Hiram (643).
Mount Union's Brian Myers fired a 4-under-par 68 on Sunday to win medalist honors. Myers finished the tournament 5-under-par, two shots ahead of Marietta's
Andrew Korner (Mission Viejo, Calif./Capistrano Valley) in second place with a score of 141.
Zach Huscusson (Clinton, Ohio/Northwest) tied for 17th with a score of 151.
Hunter Wilson (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon Area) and
Aidan Houghton (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) both finished with a score of 155 and tied for 32nd place.
Carson Moore (Belpre, Ohio/Belpre) rounded out the Pioneer lineup with a 158, good for a tie of 43rd place.
Marietta will be back in action at the Mount Union Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 13-14) at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance.
