GREENWOOD, Indiana — Four players from the Women's Soccer team earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District First team. Seniors
Mallory Sullivan (Canal Winchester, Ohio/Canal Winchester) and
Sara Morris (Mason, Ohio/Mason) and sophomores
Madelyn Call (Letart, W.Va./Point Pleasant) and
Shelby Carr (Pataskala, Ohio/Liberty Christian Academy) were all recognized due to their excellence in the classroom as well on the field.
Sullivan, a Biology major, maintains a 3.70 grade point average. Sullivan played in all 18 games for the Pioneers and co-led the team with three goals.
Morris, who is majoring in Psychology, carries a 3.72 grade point average. She appeared in all 18 games for the Pioneers primarily as a defender.
A Sport Management major, Call carries a 3.87 GPA. She played in all 18 games and made three starts at the forward position.
Carr carries a 3.89 grade point average while majoring in Sports Medicine. She appeared in all 18 games and was second on the team with two goals scored.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution.
Marietta finished the season with a 5-4-9 overall record and 2-1-5 in the OAC.
