WESTERVILLE, Ohio – For the third time this season, Marietta College junior goalie Francesca Agliolo (San Gabriel, Calif./Mayfield Senior) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The latest announcement was made Monday (Nov. 3) afternoon by the league office.
 
Agliolo started her week by posting her sixth shutout of the season, a 1-0 victory at Mount Union. Agliolo made three saves in the victory. On Saturday, the goalkeeper finally gave up a goal in a 1-1 tie with top-rated Wilmington, but registered three more saves to keep the Pioneers even in the game. For the week, Agliolo had an .857 save percentage and a 0.50 goals against average.
 
For the season, Agliolo led the OAC with .658 Goals Against average and .875 saves percentage.  She was third in the conference with the six shutouts and gave up the least amount of goals on the season, allowing only nine in 2025.
 
The Pioneers finished the season with a 5-4-9 regular season record and a 2-1-5 record in the OAC. Both winning percentages were the highest since 2006.
