ALLIANCE, Ohio — Marietta College concluded competition in the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Saturday (Feb. 26) with a seventh-place finish for the women, while the men placed eighth overall.
Mount Union won the men's team title with 248 total points. John Carroll was second with 184 points, followed by Ohio Northern (107), Wilmington (77), Otterbein (47), Baldwin Wallace (25), Capital (20), Marietta (12), Muskingum (11), and Heidelberg (9).
Addison Painter (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion) led the Pioneer men on Saturday. Painter placed fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a personal record time of 8.52 seconds earning four team points. He also placed eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.72 meters (41' 8.75") to earn another team point.
Painter ran the led leg on Marietta's 4x200 meter relay team that placed sixth and earned three team points. Painter was followed by
Evan Kieffer (Cheswick, Pa./Fox Chapel Area),
Zach Riffle (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville) and
Darius Hatch (Mesa, Ariz./Mesa).
Annie Priest (Frazeysburg, Ohio/Tri-Valley) earned her second All-OAC accolade of the weekend with a second-place finish in the shot put. She recorded a mark of 12.48 meters (40' 11.5") earning eight team points for the Pioneers.
Freshman
Emma Fehrman (Newark, Ohio/Licking Valley) set a personal record in the triple jump. She placed fourth with a distance of 10.23 meters (33' 7.5") earning five team points.
