NEW CONCORD, Ohio — The Marietta College men's and women's track team finished its season on Friday (May 1) on the final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship. The Pioneers finished ninth in both the men's and women's team standings.
Mount Union won the men's team title with 254 total points. Ohio Northern was second with 181 points, followed by Baldwin Wallace (154 points), Otterbein (97), Capital (47), Wilmington (29), Muskingum (25), Heidelberg (20), and Marietta (12).
Marietta's only team points of the second day of the Championship came from the 4x100-meter relay team. The Pioneers finished fifth with a time of 42.89 seconds earning four team points.
Vante' Hodges (Horn Lake, Miss./Horn Lake) ran the lead leg, followed by
Zavier Lindsay (Columbus, Ohio/Gahanna Lincoln),
Isaiah Mitchell (Hebron, Ohio/Lakewood), and
Isaiah Creditt-Commodore (Xenia, Ohio/Xenia) ran the anchor leg.
Ohio Northern took home the women's team title with 212 points. Mount Union was second with 208 points, followed by Baldwin Wallace (108 points), Otterbein (100), Wilmington (71), Capital (47), Muskingum (34), Heidelberg (27), and Marietta (11).
Michaela Hieronymus (Letart, W.Va./Wahama) led the Pioneer women earning five points with a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter dash. Hieronymus crossed the line in a personal record time of 58.79 seconds.
Hieronymus also ran the anchor leg on Marietta's 4x100-meter relay team. The Pioneers finished seventh with a time of 51.77 seconds earning two team points.
Sadie Gray (Whipple, Ohio/Marietta) ran the lead leg, followed by
Eden Tepe (Oregonia, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame),
Lillian Franchino (Waterford, Ohio/Waterford), and Hieronymus.
