Track and Field competes at Harrison Dillard Twilight

BEREA, Ohio – The Marietta College track and field team competed in the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet hosted by Baldwin Wallace University on Friday (May 14) evening.

Head Coach Jason Davis said, "Two events wins out of three events contested.  It was a good weekend overall, and Alex continues to dominate in the hurdle races.  We are looking great heading into NCAA's."

Kaitlin Kobuszewski (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) notched an event win the women's javelin.  Kobuszewski earned the win with a throw of 31.55 meters (103'6").  

Allison Loase (Bethesda, Ohio/Union Local) added to the women's performance with a tie for second place in the pole vault.  Loase earned second with a vault of 3.28 meters (10'9").   Alexis Pennell (East Canton, Ohio/East Canton) rounded out the pole vault performance when she cleared a height of 3.13 meters (10'3.25"), to earn fourth place.   

The Marietta men were led by Alex Dimon (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge).  Dimon won the 110-meter hurdles when he broke the tape in a time of 14.27 seconds.

The Pioneers will return to the track Wednesday (May 19) when they travel to Mount Union.
