ADA, Ohio – The Marietta College track and field team competed in the Mike Becraft Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University on Saturday (April 24) afternoon. The women placed third with 103 points, and the men finished fifth with 63 points.

Jason Davis said, "We had a decent day today. Despite the tough conditions we had several event wins, and a couple of personal bests."
The Marietta women were led by the performance in the women's weight throw.
Annie Priest (Frazeysburg, Ohio/Tri-Valley) won the event, with a throw of 44.24 meters (145'2").
Brooke Huffman (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) finished in second place, when she cleared a distance of 42.52 meters (139'6").
Kasey Neville (Belington, W.Va./Philip Barbour) rounded out the performance with a distance of 41.84 meters (137'3") to notch a third-place finish.
Huffman added a win to her day, when she won the discus. Huffman won the event with a throw of 38.09 meters (125'0"). Annie Priest finished directly behind Huffman in second, with a throw of 33.59 meters (110'2"). Neville added a fourth-place finish with a throw of 31.90 meters (104"8").
Neville added the third event win for the women in the shot put. Neville won the event with a throw of 12.06 meters (39'7"). Annie Priest finished third, when she cleared a distance of 11.10 meters (36'5"). Huffman rounded out the performance in the shot put with a fifth-place finish, when she threw a distance of 10.43 meters (34'2.75").
Laura Pullins (Long Bottom, Ohio/Reedsville Eastern) earned the fourth event for the women in the high jump. Pullins won the event with a jump of 1.63 meters (5'4.25").
Kaitlin Kobuszewski (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) added second place finish in the women's javelin, with a throw of 34.33 meters (112'7"). Kobuszewski added a fourth-place finish in the women's 100-meter dash, as she crossed the line in a time of 13.42 seconds. Kobuszewski tallied her second fourth place finish on the day in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 28.00 seconds.
Gracie Yates (Grove City, Ohio/Grove City) earned a third-place finish in the women's triple jump, when she jumped a distance of 9.22 meters (30'3").
Allison Loase (Bethesda, Ohio/Union Local) added to the women's performance with a fourth-place finish in the pole vault, when she cleared a height of 3.31 meters (10'10.25").
Lauren Fry (Caldwell, Ohio/Caldwell) notched a sixth-place finish in the women's 400 meters, when she crossed the finish line in a time of 1:11.90 minutes.
The Marietta men were led by
Alex Dimon (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge). Dimon won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.52 seconds. Dimon added to his day with a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 22.26 seconds.
AJ Sallee (Columbus, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) notched a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash, he finished in a time of 11.14 seconds. Sallee grabbed a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash, when he crossed the line in a time of 22.92 seconds.
Lane Wilson (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) finished the 800-meter race in a personal best time of 1:56.93 minutes, which earned him second place honors.
Aaron Rohr (Mogadore, Ohio/Field) tallied a second-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, when he crossed the line in a time of 11:27.91 minutes.
Jake Priest (Frazeysburg, Ohio/Tri-Valley) turned in a third-place finish in the men's hammer throw when he cleared a distance of 45.06 meters (147'0").
Reese Worship (Euclid, Ohio/Euclid) rounded out the hammer throw performance, with a distance of 37.26 meters (122'3"), to earn fifth place.
Evan Kieffer (Cheswick, Pa. /Fox Chapel Area) and
Luke Wallace (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview Heights) added to the men's performance in the 400 meters. Kieffer and Wallace finished in fourth and fifth respectively with times of 54.86 seconds and 59.13 seconds.
The Pioneers will be back in action Friday (April 30) when they travel to compete at the Conference Tune up hosted by Baldwin Wallace University.
