WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Marietta College track and field team competed in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Elite meet hosted by Otterbein University on Saturday (April 17th) afternoon. The women placed seventh with 37 points, and the men finished eighth with 30 points.

Jason Davis said, "We had some ups and downs today, and scored some surprise points in the 200 meters. Alex running the 14.18 in the hurdles was the highlight of the day for us."
Laura Pullins (Long Bottom, Ohio/Reedsville Eastern) took home a second-place finish in the women's high jump, she cleared a height of 1.65 meters.
Kaitlin Kobuszewski (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) threw the javelin a distance of 30.20 meters, to bring home third place honors.
Kasey Neville (Belington, W.Va./Philip Barbour) earned a fourth place finish in the women's shot put, when she threw a distance of 11.80 meters.
Annie Priest (Frazeysburg, Ohio/Tri-Valley) finished directly behind Neville in fifth place, as she covered a distance of 11.35 meters.
Brooke Huffman (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) earned a fifth place finish in the women's discus, when she covered a distance of 38.12 meters. Huffman notched her second fifth place finish in the hammer throw, when she cleared a distance of 42.50 meters.
Allison Loase (Bethesda, Ohio/Union Local) added to the women's performance with a fifth place finish in the pole vault, when she cleared a height of 3.32 meters.
Neville added to the hammer throw performance, when she cleared a distance of 40.96 meters to take home seventh place honors.
Alex Dimon (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) led the way for the Pioneer men. Dimon won the 110 meter hurdles, when he broke the tape in a personal best time of 14.18 seconds.
The 4x400 meter relay team of
Tyler Walker (Cambridge, Ohio/John Glenn),
Evan Kieffer (Cheswick, Pa. /Fox Chapel Area),
Lane Wilson (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster), and Dimon notched a personal best time of 3:24.32 minutes to earn a fourth-place finish.
AJ Sallee (Columbus, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) notched a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter dash, when he crossed the line in a time of 22.79 seconds.
Braeden Wallace (Elkton, Va./East Rockingham) rounded out the men's performance in the 10,000 meter race. Wallace finished the race in a personal best time of 32:30.02 minutes.
Marietta will return to the track on Saturday (April 24th) when they travel to compete at Ohio Northern University.
