WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Marietta College women's track and field team competed at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships on Friday (March 5) afternoon.  The women placed sixth with 46 points.

"I'm impressed with our team finish today. Three years ago we scored zero points, and finished last," said Head Coach Jason Davis. "We have steadily climbed in the standings since then.  I love the fight and tenacity this team has."

Laura Pullins (Long Bottom, Ohio/Reedsville Eastern) won her event to earn the OAC Championship in women's high jump. Pullins cleared a height of 1.64 meters (5'4.5").   Pullins was the only competitor to clear the height of 1.64 meters.  This is the second indoor OAC Championship in the women high jump of her career.

Kasey Neville (Belington, W.Va./Philip Barbour) notched a second-place finish in the women's shot put with a throw of 12.43 meters (40'9.5").  The second-place finish earned Neville All-OAC honors.  Annie Priest (Frazeysburg, Ohio/Tri-Valley) added a fifth-place finish, when she cleared a distance of 11.67 meters (38'3.5").

Priest and Neville added to their performance in the weight throw.  Priest placed third with a throw of 15.21 meters (49'11") to take home All-OAC honors.  Neville finished right behind Priest in fourth place, when she cleared a distance of 15.07 meters (49'5.5").

Baylee Brown (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta) added a solid showing in the pole vault.  She placed third with a personal best vault of 3.52 meters (11'6.5"), which earned her All-OAC honors.  Allison Loase (Bethesda, Ohio/Union Local) added to the pole vault performance, when she cleared a height of 3.22 meters (10'6.75") for seventh place.

The 4x200-meter relay team of Kaitlin Kobuszewski (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon), Faith Malone (Wheelersburg, Ohio/Minford), Gracie Yates (Grove City, Ohio/Grove City), and Pullins crossed the finish line in a time of 1:55.94 minutes, to earn fourth place honors.
