COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Marietta College track and field team competed at the Ohio Athletic Conference Tune up meet host by Capital University, on Sunday (Feb. 28) afternoon. The women placed first with 117 points, and the men finished third with 95 points.

Jason Davis said, "We had a good outing today with several PR's and event winners. We couldn't ask for a better tune up meet. We have five and six days to be ready for the OAC Championship."
The women's day was led by the performance in the pole vault.
Baylee Brown (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta) earned the event win when she cleared a height of 3.40 meters (11'1.75").
Alexis Pennell (East Canton, Ohio/East Canton) added a second-place finish to the pole vault performance, clearing a personal best height of 3.30 meters (10'10").
Jordan Hartle (New Brighton, Pa./Freedom Area) capped the pole vault with a height of 2.35meters (7'8.5") to earn sixth place.
Annie Priest (Frazeysburg, Ohio/Tri-Valley) notched an event win the in the women's weight throw, as she cleared a distance of 14.56 meters (47'9.25").
Kasey Neville (Belington, W.Va./Philip Barbour) finished directly behind Priest in second place, with a throw of 14.37 meters (47'1.75").
Laura Pullins (Long Bottom, Ohio/Reedsville Eastern) tallied an event win the women's high jump. Pullins cleared a height of 1.66 meters (5'5.25").
Cali Barnes-Pierotti (Gallipolis, Ohio/Gallia Academy ) finished fifth with a height of 1.38 meters (4'6.25").
Neville and Priest finished first and second once again the women's shot put. Neville earned the win with a throw of 12.51 meters (41'0.25"). Priest finished in second clearing a distance of 12.24 meters (40'2").
Kaitlin Kobuszewski (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) notched the fifth win of the day for the women in the 60-meter dash, in a personal best time of 8.43 seconds. Kobuszewski notched her second win of the day in the women's 200-meter dash when she broke the tape in a time of 28.68 seconds.
Gracie Yates (Grove City, Ohio/Grove City) earned a second-place finish in the women's triple jump. Yates jumped a distance of 9.34 meters (30'7.75").
Pennell added to her day with a second-place finish in the 60 meters hurdles, crossing the finish line in a time of 10.71 seconds.
The Pioneers grabbed a third place finish in the women's 400-meter race, when
Faith Malone (Wheelersburg, Ohio/Minford) finished in a time of 1:12.00 minutes.
Kobuszewski added a fourth-place finish in the women's long jump, with a distance of 4.632 meters (15'2.25"). Yates jumped a distance of 4.40 meters (14'5.25") to earn fifth place.
AJ Sallee (Columbus, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) crossed the finish line in a time of 9.03 seconds to earn the win the men's 60-meter hurdles.
Marietta finished in first and second place in the men's 500-meter race.
Lane Wilson (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) won the event in a time of 1:07.36 minutes, and
Tyler Walker (Cambridge, Ohio/John Glenn) placed second in a time of 1:08.08 minutes.
The men's 4x400 meter relay team of Walker,
Evan Kieffer (Cheswick, Pa. /Fox Chapel Area),
Luke Wallace (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview Heights), and Wilson notched an event win. The team combined to run a time of 3:35.69 minutes.
Aaron Rohr (Mogadore, Ohio/Field) earned a first-place finish in the men's mile when he broke the tape in a time of 5:16.30 minutes.
Jake Priest (Frazeysburg, Ohio/Tri-Valley) notched a second-place finish in the men's weight throw when he cleared a distance of 14.63 meters (48').
Reese Worship (Euclid, Ohio/Euclid) added a third-place finish with a distance of 12.22 meters (40'1.25").
Chasten Coleman (Yadkinville, NC/Forbush) tallied a second-place finish in the men's 1,000-meter race, when he crossed the line in a time of 3:13.68 minutes.
Marietta will be back in action Friday (March 5) when they compete at the OAC Championships.
