BEREA, Ohio – The Marietta College women's tennis team ended the 2012 season with a 9-0 loss Saturday (April 28) afternoon at Baldwin-Wallace College. Baldwin-Wallace's No. 1 team of Morgan Baker and Rebecca Mittler downed #Caitlin Cornell (South Park, Pa./South Park)# and #Cate Gisser (Westlake/Magnificat)# by the score of 8-2. Jenny Greene and Danielle Rueger were 8-1 winners at No. 2 versus #Sarah Snow (Twentynine Palms, Calif./29 Palms)# and #Kelsey Jeffrey#. At No. 3, Emily Brown and Anna Callahan defeated #Jamie Taylor (Allen, Md./Parkside)# and #Lauren Bush (Kent/Theodore Roosevelt)#, 8-1.

Playing pro-sets in singles play, Greene posted an 8-1 decision over Cornell at No. 1, while Mittler beat Gisser at No. 2 by the score of 8-2. Baker blanked Jeffrey at No. 3, 8-0.

Rueger won at No. 4 over Bush, 8-0. Julie Tuck and Elizabeth Keller took Nos. 5 and 6, respectively. Tuck defeated Snow, 8-3, and Keller beat Taylor by the score of 8-6.
