Bault, the first Pioneer female to ever compete in the event, established a school record when she finished runner-up among the 13 competitors by recording a NCAA Division III provisional qualifying 3,260 points. Fueling her finish was a school record and NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark in the Long Jump, where she placed second with a leap of 5.55m (18-06.50). Bault, who already provisionally qualified in the High Jump at the OAC Relays, also tied for first place in that event after clearing 1.65m (5-05.25). That mark was just 0.01 meters off her school record. Bault also posted personal records in the Shot Put (8.62m), 60m Hurdles (10.03) and 800m Run (2:37.36) on Sunday.
Vogt, the second Marietta male to compete in the event, finished sixth out of the 11 competitors after collecting a school record 2,947 points. His best placement came in the 60m Hurdles, where he took third after crossing the line in a personal record 9.14 seconds. Vogt then took fifth in the Long Jump (6.15m), 11th in the Shot Put (8.41m), fourth in the High Jump (1.78m) and 10th in the 1,000m Run (3:05.46). His performances in the Shot Put and 1,000m Run were new personal records.
The Pioneers are back in action Saturday (Feb. 12) afternoon when qualifying members compete at the NCAA Division III All-Ohio Indoor Championship, hosted by Otterbein College. Action begins at 12 p.m.
