GAMBIER, Ohio — The state's NCAA Division III track and field elite descended upon Kenyon College Saturday (Feb. 12) afternoon to compete in the 2011 All-Ohio Indoor Championships. Marietta College's men finished fifth while its women placed ninth at the 19-team championship. [

The fifth place finish for the Pioneer men, who totaled 47 points, was keyed by four school records and was their best placement in the history of the event. Marietta's women, who were comprised of just six student-athletes, collected 29.50 points to place ninth.
Sophomore
Caleb Muller (Columbus/Bexley) was Marietta's lone champion as he won the 5,000m Run with a school record performance of 15:09.35.
Freshman
Jon Monnig (Ironton/Ironton) set the Pioneers' second school record when he took fifth in the Pole Vault with a mark of 4.40m (14-05.25).
A third school record fell in the 4x200m Relay when senior
Anthony Williams (Columbus/Bishop Hartley), junior
Ryan Householder (Frazeysburg/Tri-Valley), senior
Dele Adedapo (Gahanna/Bexley) and sophomore
Billy McCulloch (Nelsonville/York) combined to take third after crossing the line in 1:31.03.
Williams, freshman
Brandon Harrison (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial), Adedapo and Householder then closed the meet by breaking the school record in the 4x400m Relay. They took fourth with a time of 3:28.08.
Householder (3rd/6.55), Williams (5th/6.58) and Adedapo (7th/6.63) also earned points in the 55m Dash, while Adedapo, the busiest Pioneers at the meet, added a seventh place finish in the 200m Dash after crossing the line in 22.95 seconds.
Freshman
Jason Hoskins (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) accounted for the squad's final eight points when he cleared a season-best 1.97m (6-05.50) in the High Jump and placed second.
Junior standout
Ashley Bault (Atwater/Waterloo) continued to carry the Pioneer torch on the women's side as she accounted for 23 of the team's 29.5 points. Bault took runner-up in all three of her events, the High Jump (1.61m/5-03.25), Long Jump (5.38m/17-08.00) and Triple Jump (10.67m/35-00.25).
Freshman
Megan Brooks (Proctorville/Fairland) and junior
Kim Keesler (Chagrin Falls/Chagrin Falls) combined for 4.50 points in the Pole Vault when they took sixth and seventh, respectively, after both cleared 3.10m (10-02.00). Senior
Stephanie Hammond (Toledo/Central Catholic) earned the final two points when she took seventh in the Weight Throw with a season's best toss of 13.93m (45-08.50).
The Pioneers are back in action Friday (Feb. 18) when they host the Marietta Open #3 at 4:30 p.m.
