ALLIANCE, Ohio — The Marietta College women's tennis team closed out its regular season with an 8-1 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) loss to host Mount Union College Monday (April 26) afternoon. [Box Score]

The Pioneers (3-9, 2-7 OAC) are locked into the eighth seed for the upcoming OAC Tournament, which will begin Tuesday (May 4) afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Marietta's opponent, the top seed, has yet to be determined.

The Purple Raiders (13-5, 5-3 OAC) captured all three doubles points and five of six singles points on Monday.

Junior #Kristina Reed (Grove City/Grove City)# earned Marietta's lone point at fourth singles when she won 6-2, 6-2 to improve to 7-5 on the season.
