TIFFIN, Ohio — The Marietta College women's tennis team's bid for two straight Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) victories fell short as the visiting Pioneers fell 6-3 to host Heidelberg University Saturday (April 17) afternoon. [Box Score]

Marietta (1-7, 1-5 OAC) trailed Heidelberg (3-8, 1-3 OAC) 2-1 after doubles play. Junior Corin Bonnett (Bay Village, Bay) and freshman Sarah Snow (Twentynine Palms, Calif., 29 Palms) earned a point with a 9-7 win at third doubles.

Junior Kristina Reed (Grove City, Grove City) then improved to 4-4 with her 6-0, 6-3 victory at fourth singles. Snow picked up the Pioneers' final point with an 8-6 win at sixth singles.

Marietta resumes its season Tuesday (April 20) when Muskingum University visits the Beren Tennis Center for an OAC match at 3:30 p.m.
