SANDUSKY, Ohio — Senior Amanda Carraher (Hilliard/Hilliard Davidson) (Hilliard/Hilliard Davidson) remained undefeated at first singles, but the Marietta College women's tennis team began Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play with a 8-1 loss to host Heidelberg University Saturday (March 28).

The loss dropped the Pioneers' record to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the league. The Student Princes improved to 2-0, 1-0 in the OAC.

Carraher handled her opponent at first singles to account for Marietta's only point of the day. She won 6-1, 6-1 to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Marietta is back in action on Tuesday (March 31) afternoon when the Pioneers visit Otterbein College. The match is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
