Women’s Lacrosse junior goalkeeper Maddie Leers (Crystal Lake, Ill./Barrington) was named the OAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Pioneers to a 14-7 season-opening win at Heidelberg last weekend. She played all 60 minutes in goal and had a program record 15 saves in the match. Leers faced 30 total shot, including 22 shots on goal. She currently leads the OAC in saves and save percentage at 68.2%.
