Women’s Basketball junior point guard Amisha Herd (Zanesville, Ohio / West Muskingum) earned OAC Player of the Week honors after leading the Pioneers to three wins last week as Marietta improved to 5-1 on the season. Herd notched a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in MC’s 69-52 win at Wooster. She helped the Pioneers capture the 32nd annual Jim Meagle Turkey Shoot crown earning all-tournament team honors. Herd poured in 20 points in Marietta’s win over Penn State Behrend in the opening game of the Turkey Shoot. For the week, she averaged 13.0 points and 8.7 rebounds, while dishing out 10 assists and seven steals. Herd is tied for the team lead averaging 11.0 points per game on the season.
