Senior guard Sophie Nelson (Parkersburg, W.Va. / Ritchie County) helped the Pioneers to a pair of wins last week averaging 11.0 points per game. Nelson scored nine points on 3-of-5 shooting from three-point range in Marietta’s 60-52 win at Wittenberg. She followed that with 13 points, again hitting 3-of-5 shots from behind the arc, in Marietta’s 87-47 win over Wilmington.
