Senior point guard Dillon Young (Laurelville, Ohio/Logan Elm) was named the OAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week and a member of the D3hoops.com Team of the Week after averaging 30.5 points per game in Marietta’s two road victories last week. Young scored 19 points and dished out 7 assists in the Pioneers’ 107-100 overtime win at Muskingum. He followed that with a career-high 32 points in MC’s 88-68 victory at Ohio Northern. For the week, Young averaged 30.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. He shot a sizzling 58.8% (20-of-34) from the floor, 64.3% (9-of-14) from three-point range and 92.3% (12-of-13) at the free throw line. Young also dished out nine assists and had a pair of steals.
