Volleyball junior middle blocker Shauntiel Oliver-Smith (Elyria/Elyria) averaged 2.71 kills and 0.86 blocks per set in the Pioneers’ four matches last week. She notched an impressive 16 kills and .400 attack percentage in MC’s four-set loss against Messiah. Oliver-Smith also added seven blocks in the Messiah match. Oliver-Smith opened the season with nine kills against Gallaudet and recorded eight more in the match against McDaniel.
