DOVER, Ohio — The Marietta College men's golf team tied for fourth place at the Wooster Gatorade Collegiate Sunday (Sept. 6) afternoon. The Pioneers finished 15-over-par on the par-72 Zoar Village Golf Course.
Mount Aloysius won the team title with a two-day score of 580, 4-over-par. Wooster was second two shots behind with a score of 582, followed by Capital (588), Marietta (591), Saint Vincent (591), John Carroll (593), Mount Aloysius B (594), Wooster B (594), Mount Union (598), Ursuline (607), Kent State Tuscarawas (608), and Hiram (650).
Wooster's Rafa Tanjung won medalist honors with a 3-under-par score of 141.
Zach Huscusson (Clinton, Ohio/Northwest) finished in a three-way tie for second place at 2-under, 142.
Jeremiah Fizer (Chesapeake, Ohio/Fairland) and
Aidan Houghton (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) tied for 26th place with a two-round score of 150.
Kelson McCurdy (Beverly, Ohio/Fort Frye) carded a score of 152, while
Carson Moore (Belpre, Ohio/Belpre) finished with a score of 156.
Marietta is back in action at the Mount Union Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 12-13) at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio.
