WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Marietta College senior
Zach Huscusson (Clinton, Ohio/Northwest) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week Tuesday (Sept. 29) afternoon by the league office. This is the first time Huscusson has earned the award this fall.
Huscusson carded a 2-over-par, 74, tying for third place at the Grove City Fall Invitational Monday (Sept. 28) afternoon. He led the Pioneers to a fourth place team finish on the par-72 Grove City Country Club course. He was just four strokes off the lead as Grove City's Nathan Young took home medalist honors with a 2-under, 70.
The Pioneers finished fourth behind host Grove City, winners of the team title with a score of 296. Saint Vincent (307) secured second place with Washington & Jefferson just a stroke behind (308) for third place. Marietta stayed close but ended in fourth place with a score of 310.
Marietta returns to action this weekend at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday (October 3–4) at River Greens Golf Course.
