GROVE CITY, Pennsylvania — The Marietta College men's golf team finished fourth at the Grove City Fall Invitational Monday (Sept. 28) afternoon on the par-72 Grove City Country Club course. The Pioneers finished 12 shots off the lead.
Grove City won the team title with an 8-over-par score of 296. Saint Vincent was second with a round of 307, followed by Washington & Jefferson (308), Marietta (310), Pitt-Bradford (311), Clarion (313), Bethany (317), Pitt-Greensburg (318), Grove City B (319), Waynesburg (320), PGM Club (321), Kent State Tuscarawas (324), Thiel (324), Mount Aloysius (326), Penn State-Shenango (334), Geneva (342), La Roche (343), and Carlow (410).
Grove City's Nathan Young was the lone golfer under par and won medalist honors with a 2-under, 70.
Zach Huscusson (Clinton, Ohio/Northwest) led the Pioneers with a 2-over-par, 74, good for a tie of third place.
Kelson McCurdy (Beverly, Ohio/Fort Frye) tied for fifth with a score of 75.
Hunter Wilson (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon Area) carded a 79 finishing tied for 28th.
Carson Moore (Belpre, Ohio/Belpre) finished with a round of 82, while
Brayden West (McArthur, Ohio/Vinton County) shot a round of 96.
Marietta is back in action this weekend at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview on Saturday and Sunday (October. 3-4) at River Greens Golf Course.
