WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio — The Marietta College men's golf team placed second at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview played Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 3-4). The Pioneers finished eight strokes behind the winner on the par-72 River Greens Golf Course.
Capital won the team title with a two-day score of 599. Marietta finished with a 607, followed by Otterbein (610), Muskingum (614), Otterbein B (621), Capital B (621), Heidelberg (631), Wilmington (633), Heidelberg B (663), and Marietta B (665).
Capital's Keegan Billingham took home medalist honors with a 3-under-par score of 141. Marietta's
Zach Huscusson (Clinton, Ohio/Northwest) was three strokes behind and placed second with an even par, 144.
Aidan Houghton (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) tied for ninth with a score of 151.
Jeremiah Fizer (Chesapeake, Ohio/Fairland) carded a 154, tying for 15th.
Kelson McCurdy (Beverly, Ohio/Fort Frye) and
Hunter Wilson (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon Area) tied for 31st with scores of 160.
Marietta's B team included
Carson Moore (Belpre, Ohio/Belpre) (156),
Joey Koreski (Parkersburg, W.va./Parkersburg) (166),
Mason Reville (Northfield, Ohio/Nordonia) (170),
Brayden West (McArthur, Ohio/Vinton County) (173), and
JJ Dimit (Davisville, W.Va./Wood County Christian) (186).
Marietta wraps up the fall tournament season at the Beaver Fall Classic hosted by Bluffton University Oct. 10-11 at Sycamore Springs Golf Course in Findlay.
