MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College junior pitcher Austin Ziance (Highland Heights, Ohio/Mayfield) was named to the D3baseball.com Preseason All-America team Wednesday (Jan. 14) afternoon. Ziance was named to the first team.
 
Last season, Ziance led the Pioneers with a 4-1 record in 12 starts. He was second in the OAC with 69.2 innings pitched and led the conference with 72 strikeouts and an earned run average of 1.94, leading to All-Ohio Athletic Conference first team honors.
 
Ziance also earned a pair of All-Region honors for his performance last season as he received third team recognition from D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
 
Marietta opens the 2026 season against SUNY Cortland on Thursday, February 19th at D3 Showcase in Greensboro, N.C. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
