GREENWOOD, Indiana – The Marietta College baseball team had two players named to the 2025 Academic All-District Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators. Senior Cael Magill (Atco, N.J./King's Christian) and sophomore Austin Ziance (Highland Heights, Ohio/Mayfield) were named to the list and honored due to their academic efforts as well as their play on the field.
 
Magill, a business administration major, had a cumulative GPA of 3.66. He led the team in hits (52), runs batted in (30), and was 12-for-14 in stolen bases. He was 6th in the OAC with a .371 batting average, leading him to an All-OAC first team selection. Magill played errorless baseball in the outfield for the Pioneers with 51 putouts and two outfield assists.
 
Ziance, an actuarial science major, earned a cumulative 3.94 GPA. He compiled a 4-1 record in 12 starts, pitching in a total of 69.2 innings and leading the OAC with 72 strikeouts and an earned run average of 1.94. Ziance, second in the conference in victories and inning pitched, was also placed on the All-OAC first team.
 
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 1.
