WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Three Marietta College Pioneers were named to the 2025 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Team announced Tuesday (May 13) morning by the league office. In voting by the OAC softball coaches, Liz White (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) was named to the first team, Rachel Kazmirski (Colliers, W.Va./Brooke) to the second team, and Adisson Heath (Weston, W.Va./Lewis County) earned honorable mention recognition.

"I am very proud of Liz, Rachel and Adi for achieving these accomplishments," said Marietta Head Softball Coach Jenn Castle. "Their dedication to the program and extra work is definitely paying off."

White, who was Honorable Mention last year as a freshman, put together an even better sophomore season. She was second in the conference with 15 doubles and fifth with 37 runs scored. White was second on the team with three homers and 24 runs batted in. She was also seventh in the conference with a .429 batting average.

"Liz was asked to fulfill many different roles this season by catching, playing outfield and hitting in the DP position," said Coach Castle. "It is a challenge to be a utility player, but Liz embraces it and does a really great job for us.  She really stepped up this year hitting in the leadoff spot and was able to find multiple ways to get on base and give us a chance to score."

Kazmirski finished her Pioneer career with another standout season in which she earned her fourth OAC post season honor. The Pioneer first baseman once again led the team with a .489 batting average, good for second in the OAC. She led the team with four home runs, 31 runs batted in, and was third in the conference with a .734 slugging percentage.

"Rachel is an unbelievable player," said Coach Castle. "What she was able to accomplish this year being in the PA program, and being a student-athlete, is going to be something I will never forget. She had to do a lot of work on her own due to missing practice because of her academic requirements, but Rachel is such a talented athlete it never phased her with her academic load. I am very proud of Rachel and her time at Marietta and she's going to be greatly missed."

Heath spent much of the year as the designated player for the Pioneers and showed why the future is still very bright for Marietta College softball. She displayed solid power numbers as she hit three home runs and drove in 21 runs. She also provided 25 hits and compiled a .357 batting average in her first year as a starter in the Pioneer lineup.

"Adi was such a clutch hitter this season," said Coach Castle. "Her stepping into the role as the DP and performing was so crucial. We knew Adi was going to need to fill a big role for us and she delivered. I'm excited to see what Adi can do and produce for us next season as well."

Marietta finished the season with a 20-15-1 overall record and 6-10 Ohio Athletic Conference record.
