WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio — The Marietta College men's golf team placed fourth at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview Sunday (Oct. 6) afternoon. The two-day tournament was held on the par-72 River Greens Golf Course.
John Carroll won the team title with a score of 588. Capital placed second with a two-round score of 601, followed by Mount Union (607), Marietta (608), John Carroll B (613), Capital B (628), Ohio Northern (630), Mount Union B (633), Baldwin Wallace (644), Muskingum (646), and Ohio Northern B (651).
Mount Union's Brian Myers and Capital's Ricky Walsh earned co-medalist honors with 1-under-par scores of 143.
Andrew Korner (Mission Viejo, Calif./Capistrano Valley) was Marietta's top finisher firing a 4-over-par 148 to tie for fifth place.
Zach Huscusson (Clinton, Ohio/Northwest) tied for 10th with a score of 151.
Kelson McCurdy (Beverly, Ohio/Fort Frye) was two shots behind and carded a 153 to finish tied for 15th.
Mason Reville (Northfield, Ohio/Nordonia) tied for 23rd with a score of 156, while
Hunter Wilson (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon Area) shot a 160 and tied for 34th.
Jaekob Conard (Mansfield, Ohio/Madison Comprehensive) and
Mason Jackson (Guysville, Ohio/Federal Hocking) played as individuals. Conard finished with a score of 162, while Jackson carded a 182.
Marietta closes out the fall portion of its schedule at the Capital Fall Classic on October 12-13 at the Lancaster Country Club.
