MARIETTA, Ohio — The Marietta College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting the 16th annual Chuck Cornelius Memorial Run & Walk on Saturday (October 15) at 8:00 a.m. The annual event was changed from a 5K to a two-mile race last year.
Proceeds are used to support the group's yearly activities, including a partnership with the Special Olympics.
The Fun Run & Walk kicks off Homecoming Saturday on campus. Registration will be from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. in front of the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center. Early registration is encouraged.
A $15 entry fee for participants registering prior to Oct. 14th is required ($20 for day of the race registrants). Marietta College students may participate for $5. Please make checks payable to Marietta College SAAC. All entrants will receive a t-shirt. Please come dressed to run. Refreshments will be available when you cross the finish line.
The two-mile run will start and finish in front of the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female runner and top male and female walker.
